Groaning, I fell to the floor, my weapon disappearing into thin air as I clutched at the mutilated flesh of my side. I guess a giant key could do some damage when it was wielded correctly.
  “You’ve gotten better, Sora.”
“Who are you?! How do you know me?!” Laughing quietly and shaking all the time, I rolled on to my back, staring up at the ‘Keyblade Master.’
“Forgotten me already? I suspected as much. After all, you did leave me to die on that island.” A serrated edge rested on my chin as his beautiful blue eyes stared down, trying to see past my black hood.
“Enough mind games! Show your face! Now!” Slowly, I did as instructed, a small smirk dancing across my lips.
“Hello, Sora. Long time, no see.” He was frozen, staring at me in shock.
“Do it, Sora! Destroy her!” The brunette paid no attention to the obnoxious duck behind him, his gaze still connected with mine.
“Go on,” I taunted. “Kill me. Isn’t that your mission? Come on, Sora. What are you waiting for?” Still, he stood there. Finally, his hand reached out, coming to rest on my cheek, resulting in a slight blush on my part.
“_(Y/N)_, is that you? Where have you been all this time? I looked everywhere for you!” I was wrapped in his arms before I had a chance to react.
“Oh God, _(Y/N)_! I thought I’d lost you forever!” Wrenching my body away, I snarled at him, the sound feral.
“Yes, you would have liked that, wouldn’t you?! You left me for dead, Sora! I called for you, over and over, and you didn’t come! The only thing that multiplied was the number of Heartless! I trusted you and you betrayed me!” His expression was horrified, his beautiful face scrunched up in pain.
“No! No, _(Y/N)_, I didn’t! I came back, but they got in my way! The Organisation stopped me from getting to you! You saw me! You knew I was there!” He was lying. He had to be lying. The Organisation . . . They’d saved me when he had left . . . They were my family . . . And yet . . .
“You’re lying . . . You have to be lying . . . But why does it feel like you’re telling the truth? I don’t understand.”
“_(Y/N)_, please. Try to remember.” Biting my lip, I nodded, my eyelids sliding closed. Unexpectedly, warmth enveloped my hands. His breath danced across my cheeks.
“Think back, _(Y/N)_. Remember me. Please.” I could feel the heat radiating from him as he moved closer and closer. The tension and hesitation hung in the air, until, finally, his lips brushed against my own.
“Sora! What are you doing?!” Pain flared up in my side as I was forced backwards. Gasping in agony, I looked down in time to see the fireball fizzle out. My fists clenched and tears gathered as my now exposed skin began to blister.
“You stay away from Sora!” Growling, I stormed forwards, wrenching the wand from the duck’s hand and lifting him by his shirt.
“I suggest you don’t interfere, or all you’ll be good for is Christmas dinner.”
“_(Y/N)_! Put him down!” Reluctantly, I did just that. That’s when the memories washed over me, the sensation overwhelming my brain. With a cry, I collapsed, clutching my head in my hands. I could hear Sora calling my name, begging for me to hold on, but I couldn’t concentrate on anything but the images inside my mind.

“Sora! Help! Please!” Tears streamed down my face as the Heartless gathered, clawing at my clothes, drawing blood with each gash. Over and over, I swung at the enemy, but it was no use. There was just too many.
“Sora!”
“_(Y/N)_! I’m here! Hold on!” My eyes landed on a figure, one getting closer by the second. Finally, I had something to fight for. Gathering my remaining strength, I leapt over the Heartless, pushing off the walls. With a final bound, I was in front of him, our arms wrapped around each other.
“You came back for me,” I choked out, nuzzling into his neck.
“I couldn’t live with myself otherwise. But we have company. Let’s deal with that first.” A flash of light, and the Keyblade formed. That’s when I noticed the silence, Spinning around, I scanned the clearing. The empty clearing.
“Where did the Heartless go?”
“Right here.” A new voice. Someone else was here. All of a sudden, the darkness surrounded us, pulling me from Sora’s arms. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t see. It never seemed to end. Until it did. After an eternity, I found myself on the floor, my hands and knees supporting my weight. There was Sora, only a few paces away. And, between the two of us, stood a barrier, glowing violet in the evening light.
“Well, well, well. This is a turn of events. Don’t you agree? The hero sweeps in, and yet the damsel is still in distress.” Breathing shakily, I raised my whip.
“Who are you?! Show yourself!” A sadistic laugh echoed around the cave and a golden eye pierced the darkness.
“Your loyalty is strong for someone so young, but how strong is your heart? Let’s see, shall we?” Fingers snapped together as the Heartless reappeared. Relief rushed through me.
“I have the Keyblade Master on my side. I think I’ll be fine.” Snickering, my enemy stepped out of the shadows. His black haired hair fell to his shoulders and on to the black coat he wore, silver streaks intertwined with the dark ponytail.
“Or do you?”
“_(Y/N)_!” Turning, I saw the very thing that turned my blood to ice. Sora was attacking the barrier repetitively, striking at it with his Keyblade. There wasn’t a single mark on the translucent surface.
“Let him go!” Once again, laughter rang out.
“My dear, you shouldn’t let your feelings cloud your vision. Look around. You’re the one in the cage.” Turning to Sora, he glared with pure hatred.
“I hope you enjoy the show. Tonight’s special - heart extraction.”
“NO!” Sora’s attacks became more frequent, desperation taking over. But it was too late. The Heartless had begun to swarm, slicing at my limbs, my face, but, most often of all, my chest. Blood poured out of the injuries, seeping across the floor, like a scarlet river.
“No! _(Y/N)_! Let her go! Take me! Kill me!” The stranger shook his head, staring intently as the life drained from my body.
“You’re too late. It’s over.”
“No! No, please!” But the strange man was right. Falling to the floor, I gave in to the Shadows, spreading my arms, allowing them access to my heart. They took the invitation immediately. As the claws dug into my flesh, I turned my head, my tear-stained face staring towards the love of my life.
“Never forget me, Sora. Please. I . . . Love you. I always . . . Have and always will . . . Forever. Goodbye . . . Sora.”
“_(Y/N)_!” That was the last thing I heard. Smiling softly, I closed my eyes, blocking out reality and the pain that went with it. The only thing behind my closed eyelids was Sora, his beautiful eyes, his perfect smile - everything about him. As unconsciousness closed in, one thought echoed through my mind, resounding again and again: I’ll never forget you, no matter what happens.

“God damn it, _(Y/N)_! Wake up, please! I can’t lose you again!” Slowly, my eyelids fluttered open. Staring up at him, I smiled my first true smile in years.
“I remember you, Sora. I remember you.” Swooping down, he captured my lips with his own, crushing me against his chest. Instinctively, I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him as close as possible. After moments, he pulled away, resting his forehead against my own.
“I missed you. Everyday, I prayed that you were okay. I prayed that I’d find you again.” The edge of my lips turned up.
“I wish I could say something more romantic, but to be honest, due to my hand-crafted memories, I just wished you dead everyday.” Laughing quietly, he pulled me to my feet, arms tangled around my waist.
“I’ll never let you go, not this time. You’re coming with me every step of the way. You don’t have a choice this time.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” And for that moment everything was perfect. Until Fate intervened. A dark corridor materialised and a familiar head of grey-streaked hair came out.
“Hey, _(Y/N)_, you done here yet?” A single golden eye landed on us.
“Well, well, well. This is a turn of events. Don’t you agree?” My breath caught in my throat as I looked at the man I had once considered my best friend.
  “Xigbar.”
“Enjoy the memories, darling?” Shaking, I narrowed my eyes.
“How could you?! All these years . . . Nothing but lies!” A sarcastic laugh escaped his compressed lips.
“Please! It was easy. Now, you’re coming back with me, back to where you belong.”
  “And if I don’t?”
“I thought you’d never ask.” With a swing of his arms, the Freeshooter held the two arrow guns with ease. Grinning, I watched as the darkness crept up my cloak, the vines crawling down my arms to form my whip. However, I had merely taken one step forwards when Sora pushed me behind him.
“I meant what I said, _(Y/N)_. I won’t lose you again,” he murmured, summoning his blade and aiming it at Xigbar.
“I’ll give you a chance to run, Eyepatch.”
“Not a hope, kiddo.” And then it began.

People can't take the time to vote for a beautiful plot-ful story made by Disney but vote with being friends with a skeleton?

This story is too underrated~ ;-;
